The Experience

Where the monsoon becomes
the music itself

Intimate by Design

Strictly limited to 3 guests per cohort. Every session, every meal, every moment of instruction is shaped around you. This is not a retreat — it is a private sanctuary.

Rain as Backdrop

Your practice unfolds indoors within the acoustic sanctuary of the Navakanu Academy hall. As you play, the monsoon descends freely beyond the glass—nature's own rhythm section.

Curated Living

A private chef prepares all meals with seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Evening jam sessions and immersive sound healing journeys complete each evening.

Your Guide

A Lineage Rooted in
Hindustani Tradition

SinaSiav is a Nadyoga — Yoga of Sound — researcher, classically trained guitarist, vocalist, flautist, and composer, and a self-taught handpan player and music producer based in North Goa. His tonal world spans the handpan, bansuri, hybrid flutes, and setar: an arsenal of acoustic voices folded into a single, cohesive sonic identity. Holding a 200h YTTC certification and trained at the Varanasi School of Music, he moves between the ancient and the contemporary with rare, unhurried command.

Stage credits include Magnetic Fields Festival (2022 & 2023), opening for Shankar Mahadevan at an outdoor stadium in Bhubaneswar, and sound healing collaborations with Bollywood luminaries. His retreats are ceremony — not curriculum.

"The handpan does not merely produce sound — it opens a passage between the world you inhabit and the world that lives within you."

A Private Offering

A Sample Day

The Daily Rhythm

Each day is orchestrated as its own complete composition — awakening, deepening, and dissolving into rest.

Morning

Nourishment & Craft

Begin with a wholesome breakfast prepared fresh by your private chef. Then settle into the hall as morning rain descends — two hours of handpan instruction guided by Hindustani classical tradition, D Kurd 9 scale.

Afternoon

Stillness & Solitude

A curated lunch, then the afternoon belongs entirely to you. Introspect, read, or return to your instrument privately. The monsoon outside requires nothing of you.

Evening

Ceremony & Sound

Dinner as the sky deepens. Then — as the rain softens to a whisper — an acoustic evening jam session flows seamlessly into a full immersive sound healing journey. Sleep arrives effortlessly.

Know Before You Arrive

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there fixed dates for the retreat?

There are no rigid, pre-set dates. Because we strictly limit the sanctuary to just 3 guests at a time, the schedule is entirely bespoke. You simply let us know your preferred month — June, July, or August — and which package you desire. From there, we work with you to lock in the exact dates, carefully grouping you with one or two other guests of similar experience levels and intentions to curate the perfect dynamic for your cohort.

Do I need prior musical experience to attend?

Not at all. This immersion is designed to meet you exactly where you are — whether you are touching a musical instrument for the very first time or you are an experienced player seeking advanced rhythmic frameworks. Because the cohort is so intimate, the instruction adapts completely to your personal pace and needs.

Is it all-inclusive? Will the rain disrupt us?

Yes, it is fully all-inclusive. Your investment covers your private accommodation, three restorative meals daily by our private chef, all instruction, evening sound journeys, and the exclusive use of a high-end, artisanal handpan to practice on throughout your stay. As for the weather, the monsoon is the backdrop, not a disruption. Your practice unfolds indoors within the dry, acoustic sanctuary of the Navakanu Academy hall.

Where will I stay during the retreat?

You will reside in a beautifully curated, private residential property in Ashwem, North Goa. It serves as a quiet, comfortable sanctuary for you to rest, integrate the day's lessons, and recharge. Your private chef prepares your meals here, ensuring a seamless, high-end living experience outside of your academy hours.

Is the daily schedule strict, or is there free time?

Each day is orchestrated as a balance of deep immersion and profound rest. While the morning masterclasses and evening jam sessions are structured, the entire afternoon is left open for you — ample time for quiet introspection, private practice on your handpan, or simply unwinding while the monsoon rain falls outside. It is designed for nervous system regulation, not exhaustion.
